The Brochos program has been an innovative tool for not only educating my students about various foods and their appropriate brochos, but to bring a special Chayus in reciting brachos with kavana in general. Additionally, the talmidim anticipate earning new cards and they love to review and test each other on the information of the cards that they already have. I am a first grade Rebbe in Cheder Chabad of Monsey. I have been teaching here for the past nine years and I can tell you that Rabbi Wiener’s Know-Your-Brochos Campaign has changed the entire atmosphere of the school.

The boys are all excited. They are learning about Brochos, discussing Brochos and Brochos cards all over the building. Most of all, the boys are saying Brochos loud and clear while the others answer Amen.

I highly recommend this program to every school. This is a powerful, positive tool that is certainly very effective in driving away external negative influences that Mechanchim are struggling with these days.

The Know Your Brochos program has really been an educational and economical windfall for our Cheder. It is being used as a very effective tool in teaching the talmidim birchos hanehenin in a fun and exciting manner. In addition, we are using the cards as prizes for positive reinforcement; both, by rebbis/teachers in the classroom and school-wide, by administration. We are seeing the positive effects on behavior, derech eretz and most importantly, the talmidim are placing a great emphasis on proper recitation of brochos. (They may receive a card if they are “caught” saying a bracha properly.) in an age when there are so many external influences effecting our children, this has served as a very effective means in promoting “holy” excitement. I strongly recommend all schools take advantage of this program.
